Up until recently, that was my life. My name is Pumba and boy, am I happy to be out of there!

Now I get to spend my days playing in my new foster home. I have a lot of fun there, but I know it’s not the same as having a forever home- I sure would like one of those soon!

Let me tell you a little bit about myself and hopefully you’ll think I’m the perfect addition to your home. I’m ~10 months old, so I’m still a playful pup, but old enough to know some basic commands already. I weigh ~40 lbs. now, but I may reach up to ~55-60 lbs. when I’m finished growing- I still need to get some meat on my bones! These nice people even already made sure that I’m up to date on my vaccines, neutered and heartworm negative. While I am house and crate trained, I prefer to spend my down time relaxing on the couch at my foster parents’ house, so I hope you’re ready to snuggle up and watch some TV when you get home from a long day at work. There are other dogs that live with me and I’m not sure how I feel about them- I think I may prefer being the only dog in the home so I can have all of your attention to myself. I am working on learning how to share my toys- I’m not very keen on sharing right now because I’ve never had anything that’s mine before! I think I like these children that I live with better than the dogs- they’re nice and cuddly. I hear there’s these creatures called cats, but I don’t have any of those at my foster parents’ home- I’ve met a couple of them before and thought they were kind of weird, so I kept my distance. Here’s the sad part about my story- I have been diagnosed with hip dysplasia in both of my hips. The nice people here at my rescue group are treating me with joint supplements and making sure I get plenty of exercise so that I can become stronger and feel better.

I hope this doesn’t stop you from wanting to take me home- I’ve definitely got the personality and charm to make up for it! Contact my rescue people today and ask them about meeting me- I promise you won’t regret it and you may just fall in love.

With me you’ll have to go slow as I’m a shy guy in need of socialization. Once I’m familiar with walking on leash you’ll see that I’m a guy that’s in need of a lot of activity. Having a fenced yard to explore in or someone that would take me hiking would be wonderful for me. I love, love, love peanut butter and will go crazy over a peanut butter stuffed kong. If you stick it in the freezer that would be even better so I can have a tasty frozen treat. I can be somewhat selective about my canine pals, so I may not get along with everyone; ask an adoption counselor for more information. I need lots of positive experiences with people and other dogs and need a patient mom or dad who will take their time with me. Is this person you? I weigh 52 lbs. and I’m full grown.

**Zilla is a neutered male, brown American Staffordshire Terrier mix who is about 2 years and 7 months old. He is a courtesy listing- please contact the SPCA of Wake County at 919.772.2326 for more information.**

I know, I’m gorgeous. There’s a lot more to me than just my fabulous good looks.

I’m crate trained, I appear to be housetrained, and I know commands for sit, down, and stay. I’m also deaf! I learned commands with hand signals instead of words. My last family decided they could no longer keep me, so I’m back with my SPCA family searching for the best family ever! My new family will need to be patient while we learn to communicate with each other. I love to play with some other dogs, but can be selective with who meets my standards. I’m a gal of discerning taste – not just any old dog will do for me. I need to find a home without cats since I find them a bit too fascinating. I’m usually a refined, sophisticated lady, but sometimes I get silly and I love to roughhouse. My favorite past times are giving hugs, chewing on bones, and going for car rides. Please take me home! I’m full grown at ~55 lbs but could stand to lose weight to look and feel my best.

*Bianca is a spayed female, white and tan American Staffordshire Terrier mix who is about 3 years old. She is a courtesy listing- please contact the SPCA of Wake County at 919.772.2326 for more information.*

He has lived with the same family for ~1 year, but is now looking for a new home with you!

Due to this handsome Bully’s nervousness around other dogs, he needs to go to a home where he can be the only canine.

In addition to being gorgeous, Rocko is also smart! He is house and crate trained, and knows sit, lay down and stay. He is also neutered, heartworm negative and current on his vaccines. Rocko is somewhat low energy, but will still have bursts of puppy energy- he still a young Pittie, after all! He loves to sleep on the couch with his humans and really enjoys car rides- he is even happy sitting in the car when it is not moving! Rocko’s favorite toys are plastic bones and braided toys that are made by Kong, especially one that looks like a monkey. He has a large pillow bed that he uses as his base and as bed at night. Like most Bullies, Rocko loves all food and will do whatever it takes to get some! One of his favorite activities is to sit in the fenced backyard in the sun to have some alone time. He is not fond of thunderstorms and is not particularly happy being by himself- he would much rather hang out with you!

If Rocko sounds like the guy you have been looking for, don’t waste anymore time- he’s waiting!
