Creating a Leopard Volumes Stack Now that network mounted volumes no longer show on the desktop, nor in the left hand bar of a Finder window. I’ve been looking for a quick easy way to see what volumes I have mounted and this does nicely. This is the only way I have found to see MacFusion mounts.
Hotspot Wireless Internet Access allows users to connect to the Internet from various public locations. It is a collaboration by Canada’s 4 (really 3, Rogers bought Fido) mobile providers. Accessing the system requires a mobile phone with one of the carriers for billing purposes. Bell, Telus and Fido (Rogers) offer an hourly rate, Bell $7.50, [...]
I often come across “Top $x OS X Applications” blog posts. I usually take a quick look, see the usual suspects and move along. Every once in a while I’ll find an application that fills my need. This happens enough times to keep me coming back. Today I came across Top 100 best open source mac [...]

Normally, this type of outage would be chalked up to overload of the system. The Slashdot or [...]

Recently Rogers updated the firmware of the Scientific Atlantic HD PVR they sell to their customers. While the updates are greatly appreciated. I can now start watching a program it’s recording from the beginning not where it’s currently playing live, and when the show ends, the playback no longer stops. Some other annoying features still [...]
