VMware Communities: Ubuntu in vmware, change foldername … I recently migrated from Parallels to VMWare Fusion 2 beta 2 on my MacBook Pro. The Windows XP migration went flawlessly however Ubuntu lost network connectivity. Following the directions in this post I was able to get networking to work again, and move on to installing VMWare Tools
